Germany’s Thielert Aircraft Engines is to provide maintenance training on its Centurion 1.7 diesel-cycle engine at Superior Air Parts’ engine build centre in Dallas, Texas, in anticipation of first US deliveries of the Diamond DA42-TD1 Twin Star and the engine’s availability for retrofit in Cessna 172s and Piper PA-28s.
