Amadeus has signed new partners, the Colombian flag carrier Avianca, and ANATO, the country's travel agency association, to operate the CRS in Colombia.

GE Aircraft Engines has signed an MoU with IHI for the Japanese company to develop and manufacture 25 to 30 per cent of the CF34-8C engine, which will power the Canadair CRJ-X regional jet.

Boeing and three Japanese aircraft manufacturers have reached an agreement to produce jointly parts for the upgraded version of the B737. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries will produce the wing flaps; Kawasaki Heavy Industries will make the ribs to support the wing structure; and Fuji Heavy Industries will produce the tail elevators.

Shannon Aerospace has won a contract from Transavia Airlines to carry out a D-check on a B737-300.

The Pratt & Whitney 150 engine has been chosen for the Dash 8 Series 400 aircraft manufactured by Bombardier.

American Airlines has won a five-year contract to repair the RB211-535E4 engines for America West's B757s.

Lufthansa Technik will perform overhaul work on 100 V2500 engines for United Airlines' A320 fleet. It will also maintain two Airbus A340s for Austrian Airlines.

Avrotec, the maintenance and refurbishment arm of UK-based Avro International Aerospace, has won a contract from Air China to perform modifications on two BAe 146-100s.
