An independent audit of the UK National Air Traffic Services' air traffic control centres at West Drayton and Swanwick has pronounced them safe. Conducted by the UK Defence Evaluation and Research Agency (DERA) the audit was ordered by the parliamentary transport committee. The committee was concerned that postponements in opening Swanwick indicated software was so flawed that it might never work, and that West Drayton could not cope with growing traffic in the meantime. The DERA report says that Swanwick will work, and Drayton can cope safely.
