Swissair has signed a codeshare agreement with Malaysian Airlines (MAS) through to Kuala Lumpur, only weeks after comments from the Swiss carrier that it was looking for additional Asian partners. Swissair, which will now sell tickets on MAS flights to Kuala Lumpur, says that there are no immediate plans to move towards a full alliance. It is understood, however, that the Swiss airline's existing Asia Pacific partner Singapore Airlines is being courted by rivals which include the Lufthansa/ United Star alliance.
