Swiss national carrier Swissair has appointed Mark Ellinger general manager for the eastern region of the USA. Ellinger, who will be based in Manhattan, New York, was most recently director of public relations and market communications. He succeeds Markus Albrecht, who becomes general manager for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and Sri Lanka.
