Honeywell/Altair Avionics' IntelliStart Plus+ turbine engine monitoring system has been certificated for use on the MD Helicopters MD 500. The airframe-mounted system, which prevents hot starts and monitors and records key parameters, is approved on the Bell 206 and is expected to be certificated on the Agusta A109 and Eurocopter AS355F and BO105 by year-end. Honeywell and Altair have set up a worldwide distribution network.
