Boeing commenced flight testing of the Max 9, fitted with CFM International Leap-1B engines, in April, shortly after the maiden flight of the 787-10.

The manufacturer has just started deliveries of the smaller 737 Max 8 variant, with Malindo Air taking the first aircraft in May.

Boeing's presence will be reinforced by Qatar Airways, which is sending a 777-300ER to the show.
