Collins Aerospace will use EBACE to showcase its new Evolution aircraft seat and to announce its latest aircraft seating and in-flight entertainment contracts.
The design of the next-generation Evolution seat incorporates features from business aircraft seats and commercial first-class seats, says Collins vice-president of business development for interiors Colin Mahoney.
The company will disclose the sale to an undisclosed customer of its Orion seat, which it unveiled last year. The Orion seat will enter service in 2021.
Collins is also using the show to stress its commitment to the in-flight entertainment market and to announce a deal to install a cabin management system in an Airbus ACJ320neo.
Collins has also announced that European regulators certificated its Pro Line Fusion avionics in Textron Aviation Cessna Citation CJ3s. Collins is showcasing the Pro Line Fusion flightdeck in a Bombardier Challenger 604 at the show.
The system replaces the CJ3's factory-installed Pro Line 21 avionics with 14.1in LCD touchscreens, synthetic vision, electronic navigation charts and operability with next-generation air traffic management features.
