Swedish cabin-environment specialist CTT Systems is to supply the humidity control equipment for the Boeing 777X programme.
The company says its product will be offered as supplier-furnished equipment in the catalogue for the new twinjet.
CTT says up to five humidifiers can be fitted to the 777X, and that the systems will be used for the cockpit, crew rests and the premium cabin zones.
Boeing already uses CTT humidity-control equipment on the 787 programme, and CTT says an average of two humidifiers are fitted on each aircraft – adding that cockpit humidifier selection on the type is “close to 80%”.
CTT believes it can build on its 787 experience and that the 777X offering will be “well-received”.
