Lufthansa's expanding low-cost operation Eurowings will introduce a business class product on selected long-haul flights next summer.
The airline, which will formally unveil its new premium cabin at the the ITB travel convention in Berlin next March, has today confirmed plans and tweeted a picture of its new product.
Eurowings says the new product will feature a more comfortable seat, special catering and some other services. "We are currently fine-tuning and have some great surprises in store," says Eurowings chief commercial officer Oliver Wagner.
"We see strong demand for another top product from our company on routes with higher business travel, for example on US flights from Dusseldorf to New York, Miami or Fort Myers," says Wagner.
Eurowings will launch New York flights from Dusseldorf in late April, while the Florida resorts of Fort Myers and Miami will follow in early May. All three routes were operated by Air Berlin prior to its collapse this autumn.
