American Airlines has dropped its codeshare with Grupo TACA between Central America and the USA. Offering no reason, American appears to have concluded that the deal was not worthwhile. TACA president Roberto Kriete says he may abandon the current strategy of forming bilateral pacts in favour of a global alliance.If so, it is unlikely to be Skyteam, in which rival COPA Airlines is already an associate.
