L-3 Communications' Link Simulation and Training division has received a $10.3 million US Army contract to begin low-rate initial production of the Aviation Combined Arms Tactical Trainer - Aviation Reconfigurable Manned Simulator. Its two trailers house a control room, review theatre and six trainer cockpits which can be reconfigured in 90min to simulate six different aircraft types.
