Pilot misjudgement may have been a factor in the April 30 crash of a DAS Air Cargo McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 freighter at Entebbe (Flight International, 9-15 May). Sources close to the investigation say the captain was advised to divert to Nairobi as heavy rain left pools of water on the runway. There was also a strong tailwind.
