Taiwanese carrier Uni Air has ordered 10 ATR 72-600s, with options for another 10.
The first of the 72-seat turboprops will be delivered in September 2012, said the carrier.
"The ATR 72-600s will replace our company's Bombardier Q300s and McDonnell Douglas MD-90s," said Zhang Wei, general manager of Uni Air.
"We are confident that the new ATR 72-600s will enable Uni Air to lower our maintenance costs and improve service quality," added Zhang.
Uni Air, the domestic and regional subsidiary of Taiwan's EVA Air, has three Q300s and eight MD-90s.
