Northwest Airlines' decision to restyle itself NWA may bring back fond memories to a generation of spotty, daylight-deprived suburban white kids who spent much of the late 1980s listening to gangsta rap. NWA - or N****** With Attitude - are remembered as pioneers of that unapologetically violent and sexist genre of ghetto music. The band, who included Dr Dre and Ice Cube, entertained their teenage audience with delightful ditties such as: To Kill a Hooker and She Swallowed It. Given that a Yahoo! search of NWA also brings up the National Wrestling Alliance as an option, it opens all sorts of possibilities for brand synergies on Northwest's in-flight entertainment system.
