Italian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) manufacturer Meteor CAE has announced a teaming agreement with US company General Atomics to offer versions of the Predator UAV to meet the Italian ministry of defence's requirement for a long range and endurance surveillance system.

Under the agreement, General Atomics will provide hardware, software and systems integration. Meteor will provide hardware, assembly and logistic support in Italy. Says Meteor chief executive Renzo Lunardi. "We intend to act as the integrated logistic support hub."
