OnAir is hopeful that TAM's trial of its in-flight mobile connectivity service on Airbus A320s will begin late this year or early next year, and says an initial four aircraft will be fitted.
Company CEO Benoit Debains told ATI last week at the 2009 ALTA Airline Leaders Forum in Cartagena that the firm is still working through the regulatory process with Brazilian authorities.
TAM is OnAir's first Latin American customer. OnAir's service is capable of supporting text, email and voice calls.
