The TAT Group is owned by the Marchais family, who founded it in 1969. Its most recent acquisition was AOM Industries, the aircraft overhaul arm of AOM French Airlines, in September 2000 from the SAir Group (now Swissair). The company's latest contract is with EADS Airbus, which has chosen TAT to paint Finnair¹s A320 fleet. The work starts in August at the rate of at least one A320 per month. The French ministry of defence has also selected TAT for stripping and painting Transall transport aircraft.
