Aeronautical Telecommunications Network Systems has announced the formation of a six-company team, led by AlliedSignal, to develop technology for air traffic control systems of the future. Work on the Router Reference Implementation (RRI) programme will begin in December ‘96 with first deliveries in May 1998. The US-French team includes AlliedSignal, Honeywell and Vertel of the US, and Sextant, Sofreavia and Thomson-CFS of France.
