Racal Avionics and Rockwell's Collins Avionics & Communications Division have teamed with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to market and manufacture each other's products in the US and UK military arenas.
The MoU follows their collaboration on several programmes, including the Royal Air Force Puma navigation update and the upgrades of the Sea King and Lynx helicopters. Racal Avionics was selected as prime contractor for both programmes and in each used Rockwell's GPS receivers to integrate the aircraft navigation and mission systems.
