A prototype Tactical Threat Display (TTD) designed for a range of aircraft from the Lockheed Martin F-16 to the Boeing CH-47D Chinook, is being shown for the first time at the Show.
The TTD, from Terma (Hall 2-B18) replaces existing monochrome radar warning displays with colour displays covering a range of threats.
It features a three-dimensional audio warning delivered to the pilot via earphones. It instantly alerts the pilot to the direction of a threat and enables him to take evasive measures.
The TTD has been sold to the Netherlands air force.
