The US Navy is flight testing the BAE Systems TERPROM enhanced situational awareness system fitted to a Sikorsky SH-60B helicopter. The first phase of low level flight tests have focused on terrain reference navigation and ground proximity warning functions. The next phase trials the TERPROM Eagle Owl, combining terrain warnings with a digital terrain and obstacle database.
