Lockheed has delivered to NASA the Terra satellite to be launched from Vandenberg AFB, California, on 28 July. The Terra is the flagship of the Earth Observing System and will mark the beginning of a comprehensive monitoring from a single spacecraft of solar radiation, the atmosphere and the earth's oceans and continents.
