With completion of delivery of the new mobile microwave landing system (MMLS) to the Italian air force, Textron (Hall 3, Stand B14) is looking to secure a deal with the French air force.

There are plans for further testing aboard the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle. Software has been developed which works out the roll and pitch of the ship and sends a reading to the incoming aircraft.

Amyn Champsi, Textron business acquisitions executive, says: "The MMLS can cope with any temperature between -49°C to +62°C and provides a consistent, reliable landing aid."
