Thailand has requested three Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk transport helicopters, in a deal worth $235 million.
The possible purchase includes the helicopters, eight General Electric T700-701D engines, including two spares, plus radios, identification friend-or-foe transponders and other related services and equipment, said the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
"The government of Thailand intends to use these defence articles and services to modernise its armed forces," said the DSCA. "This proposed sale will contribute to the Thai military's goal to update its capability while further enhancing greater interoperatability among Thailand, the US, and other allies."
