Third Denel Rooivalk takes shape

DENEL PLANS TO FLY THE engineering-development model (EDM) of its Rooivalk attack helicopter in the third quarter of this year. Denel is making greater use of digital technology in areas such as the autopilot in the EDM aircraft, the third Rooivalk. As the picture shows, the airframe appears to have been modified round the cockpit area. The aircraft has already been ordered by the South African Air Force, and Denel is battling to find export customers in the Middle East and Asia.s
