Thomas Cook will add routes from Manchester to Los Angeles and Boston next summer after agreeing a new five-year deal on airport charges with the Manchester Airports Group.
The leisure carrier will operate the routes twice a week with an Airbus A330 following the agreement, which covers Thomas Cook’s operations at Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands airports.
Frequencies on services to New York are to be increased to six flights a week and the airline’s service to Orlando will go to a daily frequency in the peak season in summer 2016 and Las Vegas increase to up to six flights a week.
Thomas Cook says these additional services will make it the biggest long-haul operator at Manchester.
Additionally, the Manchester-based carrier will begin services to Cancun and Barbados this winter from Glasgow airport with an A330.
