Thomson-CSF has consolidated its electronic warfare, airport detection and missiles electronics arms into a single group, Thomson-CSF Detexis.

The merger results from the incorporation of Dassault Electronique into Thomson-CSF in June as part of the creation of a defence electronics group bringing in Alcatel and Aerospatiale's space division. Dassault Electronique will join Thomson-CSF Radars and Countermeasures and Thomson-CSF Missiles Electronics to form a group that will have a combined turnover of more than Fr8 billion( ($1.4 billion) and a workforce of 7,200. The group will be led by Jean-Robert Martin, former president of Sextant Avionique.
