Thomson Training &Simulation has been selected as the preferred bidder to supply Tornado simulator training centres to the Royal Air Force. The centres, which will be owned by the company and leased to the RAF, will be sited at the Tornado bases at Lossiemouth in Scotland and Marham in Norfolk. It is the second recent military coup for the company. In September, Munich-based Eurofighter Simulation Systems, in which Thomson and other European simulator companies are partners, was picked to supply devices for the Eurofighter training aids programme.
