Tiger Airways Australia and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia (CASA) have jointly applied to the Federal Court of Australia to adjourn a hearing, which was previously scheduled for 1 August, to 3 August.
This is the second time the hearing has been adjourned.
CASA suspended Tiger's operations in Australia on 1 July because of safety breaches.
CASA subsequently filed an application with the courts on 7 July to seek an extension of the suspension to 1 August as it continues with its investigations, the statement said.
The hearing was originally scheduled to be held on 28 July, but both parties requested for an adjournment to 1 August.
Tiger Airways Australia also confirmed that its operations are likely to be suspended until 5 August.
