Tiger Airways Australia's domestic operations will remain suspended until 1 August after a court hearing that was scheduled for 28 July had been adjourned, the carrier said in a statement on Thursday.
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia (CASA) suspended Tiger's operations on 1 July because of safety breaches.
CASA subsequently filed an application with the courts on 7 July to seek an extension of the suspension to 1 August as it continues with its investigations, the statement said.
A hearing was to be held on 28 July, but both Tiger and CASA have jointly applied to have it adjourned to 1 August. This has been granted by the courts, the statement added.
"Tiger Airways Australia and CASA are currently in ongoing discussions regarding the suspension and see no utility in having a hearing today whilst these discussions continue," the airline said.
