Tiger Airways estimates that the grounding of its Australian subsidiary will cost around Singapore dollars (S$) two million ($1.6 million) per week.
The Australian civil aviation regulator ordered Tiger Airways Australia to suspend services from 2 July until at least 9 July, in order to address safety concerns.
Tiger Airways Holdings gave the estimated cost of the action as it stated that chief executive Tony Davis had been directed to "focus on assisting Tiger Airways Australia to resume operations as soon as possible".
It added that it was appointing another executive director, former SilkAir head Chin Yau Seng, effective from 4 July. Chin was previously Singapore Airlines divisional vice-president for cabin crew operations.
