Tiger Airways is continuing its policy of financing new Airbus A320 deliveries through sale and leaseback transactions.
The carrier mandated RBS Aviation Capital for two more aircraft of the type with V2527-A5 engines. The first aircraft was closed late last month while the second aircraft is scheduled for the first quarter of 2009.
Both A320s are part of an eight aircraft order placed with Airbus in 2006.
In addition to the RBS Aviation Capital aircraft, Tiger will receive two aircraft next year, while another three are scheduled in 2010. The remaining aircraft is scheduled for 2011.
Tiger Airways also has a backlog for 50 A320-200s with deliveries planned between 2011 and 2016.
