The main armament for the Eurocopter Tiger, the third-generation long-range antitank missile system Trigat LR, has had further successful testing.
A series of dart firings was made to verify the safe launch of the Trigat LR missile from its carrier and fault-free functioning up to target lock-on and ignition of the missile engine.
In more than a dozen firings, Trigat LR successfully proved its capabilites. A political decision in Germany concerning industrialisation and series production is imminent.
