International Aero Engines (IAE) comes to Asian Aerospace already celebrating. On the eve of the show Tiger Airways announced it has chosen IAE’s engines to power its latest 30 Airbus A320s.

The Singapore low-cost carrier currently only uses A320s powered by IAE V2500 engines and says it has firmed up an order for 30 more A320s, with options for 20 more, and these too will be powered by V2500s. These additional engines will be “backed by a V2500Select aftermarket agreement”, it adds. According to Flight’s ACAS database the airline currently has nine A320s with 11 still to be delivered from a previous aircraft order.
