Lufthansa has selected the Thales/Smiths Aerospace Topflight Flight Management System (FMS) for seven Airbus A340-600 long-range widebodies on firm order. The Topflight FMS - which features a dual high-speed processor architecture and liquid crystal display - entered service three years ago on the Airbus A320 family.
