Avio has delivered to MTU of Germany the first power transmission for the Europrop International (EPI) TP400-D6 turboprop engine for the Airbus A400M military transport. The first bench test is expected in late August, and the main components have been shipped to MTU for assembly. Rolls-Royce last week delivered the first high-pressure compressor unit to the German plant. The power transmission unit is a key element of the TP400-D6.
