French air traffic figures for 2003 dropped 0.5% to 99.5 million passengers carried against 99.9 million in 2002 and 101.8 million in 2000. France's civil aviation authority the DGAC notes that "the crisis is not over because overall traffic has not returned to its pre-11 September 2001 levels and is down 2.2% compared with 2000".
