Trans States Holdings, parent of regional carrier Trans States Airlines, plans to create a new unit, GoJet, to operate 70-seat Bombardier CRJ700LRs for United Airlines. Trans States now operates Embraer regional jets in feeder services for American, US Airways and United. The current Trans States agreement with American, however, limits it to 50-seaters and GoJet, to be based at St Louis, would circumvent this limit. It has signed a letter of intent with Bombardier for five of the 70-seaters and would begin flights in August.
