Transaero has gained rights to serve London from St Petersburg and Houston from Moscow.
Rosaviatsia says the airline has received authorisation as a second Russian designated operator on the London-St Petersburg route after Aeroflot subsidiary Rossiya.
Transaero intends to provide seven services per week to London, starting in the summer season. It currently serves London Heathrow from Moscow on a daily basis.
The carrier has also got the green light for five frequencies from Moscow to Houston. The Texan city will become its fourth approved US destination, joining Los Angeles, Miami and New York JFK.
Singapore Airlines operates on the Singapore-Moscow-Houston route under a codeshare agreement with Transaero.
