Czech Airlines' privatisation has attracted expressions of interest from four parties, including a consortium comprising Czech carrier Travel Service and its part-owner Unimex Group.
The Czech finance ministry is privatising just over 91% of Czech Airlines and today marked the deadline for expressions of interest in the tender.
Air France and Aeroflot have already confirmed their expressions of interest in Czech Airlines, but a finance ministry spokesman reveals that the Unimex-TVS consortium is also in the running, comprising Unimex Group and Travel Service.
He names the final would-be candidate as Odien AV III, part of the Odien Group which claims to be one of the leading private equity investment firms in central and eastern Europe.

Aeroflot, which is aiming to bid in co-operation with a Czech partner, has submitted its bid under the name Darofan.
The privatisation will be performed in two stages and to participate in the post-due diligence round, the interested parties will have to submit binding offers. The spokesman says the finance ministry is aiming to identify the winning candidate by no later than 30 September.
