TRW is to acquire Astro Aerospace from Canada's Spar Aerospace. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The California-based company produces mechanical systems that can be stowed for launch and deployed in space to form solar arrays and reflectors. Astro had $23 million in sales during 1997. The deal is expected to be completed by the end of January.
