THOMSON TRAINING & Simulation (TTS) is to install a Boeing 777 full-flight simulator at its Orbit Flight Training subsidiary at East Midlands Airport in the UK. The simulator will be the first for the 777 to be operated by an independent European training-centre.

British Airways, has agreed to place all of its 777 simulator training beyond that provided by its own CAE-supplied flight simulator, with Orbit. The machine will be the sixth 777 simulator produced by TTS.

A TTS-built Dornier 328 simulator at the aircraft manufacturer's Portland, Oregon, training centre has received US Federal Aviation Administration Level C approval, allowing training to be shifted from the aircraft to the simulator. Level D approval is planned for 1996.
