Helicopter maker Sikorsky is teaming with Turkish company Alpata Group to form a joint venture to be known as Alp Aviation, it was revealed yesterday.
Sikorsky says the company will manufacture high technology, precision-machined aerospace and defence components and assemblies for the global market.
Under the agreement, Sikorsky will buy 50% of Alp Aviation shares from Alpata Group, subject to regulatory approval in Turkey.
