The Turkish air force has cancelled a memorandum of understanding with Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) for the upgrade of seven Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules transports. The decision was made on 9 July after a dispute with IAI. The $14 million deal was signed last year but the Turkish air force had demanded changes to the package. The IAI proposal was based on its modular, low-cost avionics modernisation package for C-130 and other tactical transports, developed by the Lahav division.
