Trans World Airlines (TWA) says, that it is in discussions with Airbus, Boeing and McDonnell Douglas over plans to replace its Boeing 727s and Lockheed L-1011s, and expand its fleet over the next five years.

TWA says that the Boeing 757 and 767, McDonnell Douglas MD-80, -90 and -95, and the entire Airbus family are being examined.
