An Air Caraibes de Havilland Canada Twin Otter turboprop crashed on a daytime approach to the French Caribbean island of St Barthelemy, on 24 March, killing all 20 people on board. St Barthelemy's airfield has a short runway with a hill at one end, and French investigators say the aircraft (F-OGES) hit the hillside (see wreckage in foreground of picture). One man on the ground also died. The aircraft was operating a scheduled flight from Saint Martin.
