The US Congress has been notified of the proposed $1.5 billion upgrade of the United Arab Emirates' 30 Boeing AH-64A Apaches to the AH-64D Longbow standard. The deal includes 32 Lockheed Martin/Northrop Grumman Longbow radars, uprated General Electric T700-701C turboshafts, Lockheed Martin Arrowhead modernised target acquisition designation sight/pilot night vision system, AGM-114L3 Hellfire missiles and ITT ALQ-211 integrated radio frequency countermeasures suite.
