After unveiling on 2 December an aircraft sale and leaseback transaction to supply $150 million in cash, United Airlines parent UAL today detailed the agreement that includes 15 Boeing 757s.
ATI first reported the deal after United said it would close on the transaction within a few days.
United completed the sale to Wayzata Opportunities Fund II subsidiary East Shore Aircraft.
Now that the transaction is closed UAL says it has raised more than $250 million of $300 million of additional liquidity it expects to raise in the current quarter. UAL says it raised $1.4 billion during the third quarter.
