The UK is targeting increased productivity and competitiveness within the aerospace supply chain through a national industry plan. The industry agreed to develop the national plan, which will see large companies agreeing a common approach to improving productivity, development by the industry of a common set of customer-focused performance measures, the creation of opportunities for “peer to peer” discussions with suppliers and a wider reach for supply chain programmes, at the Society of British Aerospace Companies national conference last week.
